Most branded aquariums lock you into the light they shipped with. The Universal WRGB is Chihiros’ answer: a fully waterproof, app-controlled WRGB LED light with four mounting systems in the box, sized to slide into the hoods of popular Juwel, Oase and Eheim tanks — or to sit on trim, span a rim, even hang as a pendant over an open top. It is the single easiest upgrade a covered community tank can get.

In detail

The retrofit specialist: an IP67-waterproof WRGB aquarium light that drops into Juwel, Oase and Eheim hoods — or hangs as a pendant.

Truly universal mounting

Four included adapter systems and side-mounted, adjustable retaining pins let one lamp work as a hood insert, a surface-mounted bar or a hanging pendant. The pins also let two bars link end-to-end into one longer lighting run for big tanks.

IP67: built for life inside a hood

Condensation is what kills lights under closed covers. The Universal WRGB is IP67 waterproof — sealed against dust and brief submersion — so the humid space under a Juwel flap is exactly the environment it was engineered for.

WRGB colour, 3 000 – 15 000 K

White and RGB diodes blend to any colour temperature from warm 3 000 K to icy 15 000 K, roughly 30% brighter than the generation before. Dimming, colour mixing and full daylight sequences all live in the free My Chihiros app via the built-in Bluetooth controller.

Sized to the tank you already own

Six lengths from 550 to 1500 cover tanks of roughly 45 cm to 155 cm — including the Juwel Rio, Lido, Vision and Trigon footprints South African fishkeepers actually run. Check your inside-hood measurement, pick the matching model, done.

Will the Universal WRGB fit my Juwel aquarium?

It is designed to drop into the hoods of popular Juwel, Oase and Eheim aquariums. Measure the inside of your hood and pick the matching length: models 550 to 1500 cover tanks of roughly 45 cm to 155 cm.

Is it safe inside a closed hood with condensation?

Yes — that is exactly what it is built for. The IP67 rating seals it against dust, humidity and brief submersion, which is why it can live in the damp space under a cover where ordinary LED lights fail.

How do I control it?

A controller is built in, and the light pairs over Bluetooth with the free My Chihiros app for dimming, colour temperature between 3 000 and 15 000 K, and automated daylight cycles.
